new idea for an interactive cite!

My new interactive web page could be a teaching tool for kids/parents learning old and new ways to learn basic Math. There are a lot of new ways that they are teaching student how to learn basic Math, but I am a Math major and some of these ways are even odd to me. There has to be a way to teach both the parents and the students the new methods. Parents need to be able to help and the kids need to learn.... SO if we had a site similar to blackboard for parents to use as a resource and the students can use for learning it may help both parties.

experience using jQuery to create interactive Web pages

I enjoyed using Jquery, but the only things I had issues with was the upgrade versions gave me trouble and the http for them I had to edit and was quite frustrating till I had somebody to re-look at what I was doing. But I did enjoy what it was able to do just the beginning was a tough thing to get over! I think it was fun to learn how to navigate with and if I could use it again in my work I think it would be even more interesting.

What a crazy day!

This morning I went to finish the assignment for this week and now it is no longer available to view so that but me into a panic and now I am waiting for it to hopefully be re-posted! Then I went out to lunch with my mother today because she was working from home and my fiance was out working, so that is a happy thing. But as soon as lunch was over I had to go to work and that was horrid, today my VP came in to visit and I have been with the company for 3 years and have never once seen her. So this has been freaking me out all week because depending on who you speak with she is a completely different person.  But then she came and went it went okay I had to only speak with her for a brief moment because she was in meeting or I was busy elsewhere! So now I am just hoping it will be another 3 years before I have to see her again! Now I am home and able to relax other then that silly homework assignment that now I becoming nervous about because I do not like being late for things even if it is out of my hands!

Wedding plans!

So on a wicked happy note I got to pick up my champagne flutes the other day after work! They look so pretty I love them and they came in quick. But on a even more happy note when I spoke with the sales women that day when she was polishing the crystal and her other job for the day was having to mark the flutes up by around 50-75 a piece!!! So when I heard that news I was even more excited that I had purchased them when my fiance told me too!

Snow.....What happened to spring?

So for everybody that does not live in the New England area, you may not understand this. But, today is the first day of Spring and YES we are getting snow.... I do not think mother nature got the memo that winter is over and we are all done with snow!  Also to add to the fun of the day when I went to post the JavaScript page my computer decided to all of a sudden not let me open FTP Surfer saying that the path was not found! Thank God that I also have the program on my jump-drive so I was able to open it there but I had a minor panic attack thinking all my work had disappeared!! So welcome spring hope the rest of the week gets better!

Wedding shopping!!!

So, we went shopping ALL day Friday and was finally found my mothers gown and found I think my shoes!!! My mothers gown is a copper color which in my opinion looks awesome!! We are now just unsure what to put my mother-in-law in I am thinking a gun powder silver or something in that family.... any thoughts....? My girls are in a color called sangria (purple/wine) and the guys are all in black tuxes so any suggestions shes not a picky person at all.  Oh and my flutes/rings I now have visited once this week while waiting for them to come in!!

Creating Forms

I apsolutly enjoyed making the forms on the website and even writing the code by hand was fun to do. Creating the forms gave a lot of opportunity to get creative but productive at the same time.  Many students in the class had very different things on the website and I think that is what made it that more interesting to look at and learn from. I may go back and change a few things here and there on my forms page as I go but right now I really enjoy what I created and how easy it was to do,

Wedding Bands & Flutes!!!

On Friday night... I did one of the most exciting things ever in my mind! I went with my fiance to purchase our wedding bands!!!! We had looked earlier in the week and the jeweler that we worked with decided to tell us that they were going to be having a sale this weekend!!  So of course we went back the day the sale started and saved 10% on the bands and saved 40% on the  champagne flutes! I think I am almost as excited about picking out our bands then I was to pick out my gown!!!! But on the down side I have to wait for the wedding band to come in, they had to order the one I want and it wont be in till June and the flutes wont be in till the end of April!

Interactive Web sites

I think interactive web sites are defiantly a great thing for many people; many people want to find things out or learn how to do things and having the Internet at our disposal that gives us that opportunity.  I think the instant gratification that many web sites can give us help us in our learning and with sites that are interactive it helps us even more because we can connect with so many others and learn from them also.  With many sites we have a lot of different options from the minimal amount of thought involved to an extensive amount of work involved.  Take for an example Shutterfly, the app I picked to describe you can just up load your pictures and be done or edit and make books and play till you get completely lost is your own world.  So in a nut shell interactive web sites are fun for all ages and wants.

My Web App that I Enjoy

Shutterfly is the web application that I Love to use! It is like flicker in a way because it will store your pictures but it gives you options to print them also. Taking pictures is such an awesome past time of mine, the more and more I learn how to use different cameras I love it more and with Shutterfly I am able to store the pictures and print them in all different formats. Shutterfly can store unlimited amount of photos free and they will never delete the pictures. They can store your images at full resolution and enjoy a free personalized websites. Plus, receive 50 free 4x6 prints with a membership sign-up and you are able to pick up prints at Target, Walgreens, or CVS in as little as an hour. The best part of Shutterfly is in my mind is that you are able to make scrapbooks and all sorts of other art work their cite. So you can visit Shutterfly at, www.shutterfly.com.

Homework Assignment

So, I was so excited to do this homework assignment all by myself. A lot of the web page assignments I have had help trying to do them, an extra set of eyes always helps right..?!? So this time I was able to do it alone even though I had a household of people doing renovations to our home.  But now that I know how to style my web page it will be played with often and will probably change 5 or 6 more times before I call it a finished product.  So tune in to my web page often and see my new improvements as they go!

Cake topper!!!

I got my cake topper today and I love it!!!

I chickened out ordering my invataions today, which is odd because I have had them all picked out for about a month now.  It freaked me out to actually place the order and check yet one more big thing off my to do list.  This weeks mission is to finish off my gift regestery and possible start the play list for both receptions!

Lost Keys

Help find my mothers keys this is the phrase of the night..... but what makes this ironic is I have not been with them I was at work all day and I cannot really help because I do not know where they were today....

My Crazy Week!!!

Oh my God, I have such a crazy week and I thought I would share....
Monday was nuts I had my morning class and I spent rest of the day cheering up one of my friends whom just broke up with her BF after almost two years. We spent the entire weekend together trying to keep her mind occupied and started to pack her things up out of their apartment. 
Tuesday my friend and I had the day off from classes and work and we did WEDDING REGESTERY STUFF!!!! can I tell you how much fun, but tireing this was.
Wedensday and Thursday was boring school and work once again like any other day.
Friday I sepent the day with my fiance before he left for the weekend and we took my friend out for awhile so she did not start to think again.
Saturday and Sunday was crazy busy my fiance goes snowmobiling and does not have service so when he leaves he's gone!!! So it was a girls weekend I worked during the days from 8-8, yay fun, but after my friend was in a play and she did an awsome job!
So this is my little update for the week!!!!

About Internet and the Media.

So last  night I typed out this long involved post having to do with the Internet and the media and i forgot to post it. But then this morning I was watching the news and I saw that Lifetime channel has made a movie about the U.S. girl that supposedly killed her room mate in Italy, and normally I would not find this to interesting. But the fact of the matter that the family is trying to not get the movie to air in the U.S, till after the appeal because of the Internet and all other resources that may leak this movie over seas.  This makes me think that back 50 years ago this would not have mattered. The lawyers for this girl are saying because of new technology the girl will not get a fair trial. And I think the fact of the matter the Internet can help make things in media spread quickly and it does help many things positivly, but with this spicific case this movie can spread overseas and make this girls trial very unfair.  So the Internet and media can go well together with the new technologies that are comming out, but it can also harm too.

My blog that I found interesting

The blog that I found interesting was Royal Wedding: Shifting Wedding Trends Around the World. It has become such a big topic for many people and I know I have been stressing over my own and I can only imagine how theirs must be going.This blog caught my attention because the poor couple does not have any privacy and yet again here is another person looking into their big day.  It is fun to look into such a world renowned couples life but when we start looking at them and seeing how they are affecting everything (ex: trends) it becomes unfair to them. But, even though it may seem like I am saying we should not say or watch this Royal wedding reveal itself I just think we need to look at them also in the fact of the matter that they are still people in love and they just happened to be at this point a very popular couple.

The Crazy Maddness

On Sunday my fiance, his mother, my mother and I went to the food tasting at the Westford Regency and I was completly overwhelmed, The Regency set there tasting up as one big gathering for everybody that will be getting married there in the next year.  All of the vendors that come with our pakage were there so you could set up one on one apointments also.  We spent 2 hours there and I left wanting to just alope and call it even, but now looking at all of the options that we have I have calmed down and realized this should be fun again.

The image that I wanted to pick was my wedding gown and I love it so much and all I want to do is show it to people. But then I realized that my fiance may see this blog and I do not want him to see it so I want to show everybody the beautiful church that we are getting married in it is called St Rita's in Lowell Ma.

My wedding plans

My Expecations

I am unsure what to expect to from this class, I would love to learn new tricks of the internet.
A new trick is defiantly learning how to make a blog. I do not currently read any blogs and I am unsure what kind of topics that I would like to write about. The previous experience that I have with using the internet would just be shopping, research and checking emails other then that nothing more interesting.

Little about Me

A little about me...
I am a student who was full time till this semester and now I am only taking two classes.  I will have my Bachelors in Mathematics as of May. This has been what seems a long time coming since I have attended three different schools in five years. I can not wait to be done, I am unsure what I want to do for a career though so it is a little ironic  .But I do work as bridal consultant and have been doing it for almost three years.  I am now using my job in my personal life, by planning my own wedding and enjoying every moment of it.
